The ParaQuad Association of Tasmania Inc. (ParaQuad Tas. Inc) recently opened the ‘Glenn Moore' Short Term Respite Units so that people with spinal cord injury and related physical disabilities, who are confined to wheelchairs, will have short term accessible accommodation available, to them, in Tasmania.

The two units are ‘state of the art' large open plan living, two large bedrooms, large bathroom and within close proximity to Glenorchy shopping centre which is approximately 12-15 minutes from Hobart CBD.   The units have a mobile hoist, commode / shower chairs, bathroom rails, shower seat and one unit has ceiling hoist from bedroom to bathroom.  Main bedrooms have remote controlled queen size beds and the second bedrooms have two king size single beds. Living area has sofabed, TV    with DVD & remote controls, heating / cooling system, dining and lounge settings.  Both kitchens have a dishwasher, inverter microwave oven, hotplates, refrigerator, remote controls for blinds, swipe alarm system.  The units can accommodate six people utilising the sofabed in living area.
