The Hunt is an important part of Cerebral Palsy Tasmania's operations.  It generates income for the organisation, and provides the public with the oipportunity to purchase recovered items at great prices.

More importantly, it provides meaningful employment opportunities for people with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. 

The staff at the Hunt are dedicated to waste minimisation, customer service, and continued learning. Staff members are given the opportunity to gain their forklift and light rigid vehicle licenses and are offered a wide variety of training opportunities, including

  • Waste management;
  • Customer service;
  • Retail
  • Literacy and numeracy;
  • Stock presentation;
  • Gardening; and much more. 

If the following applies to you, and your'e looking for work, we'd love to hear from you:

  • Be on a Disability Support Pension;
  • Be able to work 8 or more hours a week;
  • Need help to get and help to keep a job;
  • Be able to learn basic work skills and keep these with practice;
  • Be able to learn to travel independently to work;
  • Be stabilised on appropriate medication when at work;
  • Be free from signs and symptoms of acute illness
