There are lots of opportunities to get involved in sport locally, whether as a competitor, spectator or volunteer. Cerebral Palsy Tasmania is involved in Boccia competition fortnightly at the Moonah Sports Centre, Gormanston Rd. Moonah from 12.30pm. This is an excellent opportunity to watch Wheelchair Basketball, which takes place weekly from 10.am Saturdays, alternating with 3.00pm Sundays and is organised by Paraquad Tasmania. To find out if this week's Basketball is on Saturday or Sunday call Kevin Faulkner on the number below.
The Tasmanian Department of Sport & Recreation is working to broaden accessibility to sports for Tasmanians with disabilities. To learn about their efforts and progress phone 1800 252 476
