Welcome
Cerebral Palsy Tasmania is a statewide charitable organisation that offers support and assistance to people affected by cerebral palsy.
Established in 1963 by parents of children with CP, the organisation has grown and changed over the ensuing years to become the peak body for people with cerebral palsy in our state.
We are proud to provide our support to hundreds of people living with CP in our state, and offer a range of services designed to address the sometimes complex and ever-changing needs of our members.
The Australian Lions Children's Mobility Foundation (ALCMF) works in partnership with Cerebral Palsy Tasmania to provide Tasmanian children with Hart Walkers. The ALCMF sources the $6500 funding for the initial purchase, transportation and fitting of the Walker, and the $1,000 annually for the maintenance. Cerebral Palsy Tasmania funds ongoing training for the Orthotist and Physiotherapist to provide the Hart Walker service in Tasmania, and administers the entire program from our St John's Park Office.
